Due to huge demands from the students, deprived of undertaking admission into the B.Ed. programme and considering the need of a B.Ed. College in the state the “Province Educational Society” has taken a very bold courageous visionary initiative to start a B.Ed. college under the name and style “Province College”, Tetelia, NH-37, Sonapur affiliated to Gauhati University. Accordingly the B.Ed. section was introduced from the academic session 2019-20. The College has produced two batches of B.Ed. Teacher Trainees.

A graduate from any discipline with good academic record, after clearing the Common Entrance Test for B.Ed. conducted by Gauhati University can take admission into the two year B.Ed. Programme running in the College under Gauhati University. It’s a full time professional programme having activities like one month Practice Teaching in the first year and four month Internship Programme in the second year. The college has hostel facility for girl students in its premises.

Presently in the first method paper the college is offering papers like Teaching of Assamese, Teaching of English and Teaching of Science and in the Second Method Paper Teaching of Social Studies and Teaching of Mathematics.
