Established in 1998, Province College is a premier educational institution affiliated to the prestigious Gauhati University. Establishment of the college was the result of considering education as an exercise in aiding the nation’s growth. The college is also  a tool of moulding human resources. We have come a long way from those early years and still miles to go. Be it academics, extra-curricular or co-curricular activities, Province College guides the students in every spheres.

Though most of our Students are from the state of Assam, still we have students from all other states of the North Eastern region. Besides continuously guiding the students, our highly qualified and experienced faculty members update themselves consistently. We at Province College provide the student with the experience of life, skills, social values, knowledge and holistic personality development with the proximity of faculty members and management.

Considering the need of a B.Ed. college in the state and huge demands from the students, who have been deprived of undertaking the B.Ed. course, the Province Educational Society” has taken a very bold courageous visionary initiative to start a B.Ed. college under the name and style “Province College”, Tetelia, NH-37, Sonapur affiliated to Gauhati University. Accordingly the B.Ed. section was introduced from the academic session 2019-20. The College has produced two batches of B.Ed. Teacher Trainees. The introduction of the B.Ed. Programme in the College is an important milestone on the Path of education to make the students to deal with emerging challenges, so that our great nation may excel as a leading country in this highly competitive global scenario.
