Course Description & Detail
Presently in Province College three year degree programme under Gauhati University is running in two streams Arts and Commerce. The Science stream is yet to be introduced. Though presently in degree level two streams (B.A. and B.Com.) are running with different subjects from each stream, on implementation of the New Education Policy-2020 there will be a probability for the students to opt for any subjects of their choice irrespective of the streams.
Students with good result in the 12th (10+2) Board examination (the state board and the CBSE or ICSE) can take admission in the Degree Programme of any Stream. The College is offering admissions into the Degree programme with Honours as well as General course. Presently the college is offering Honours in English, Education and Political Science with subsidiary subjects like Geography and Assamese. Similarly, in Commerce also the College is providing the facility of Honourse in its subjects like Accountancy, Finance, Business Statistics etc.
